Insurance & Payment

Therapy services are available to residents of New Mexico, Texas, and Florida through secure telehealth.
Nichole Esparza, LPCC-S (NM), LPC (TX), and Registered Telehealth Provider (FL), partners with Headway to make using insurance simple and secure.

At this time, insurance billing is handled under Nichole Esparza’s individual provider credentials through Headway.
Real Talk Therapy Services PLLC is in the process of becoming credentialed as a group practice for future insurance billing.

Headway verifies your benefits, processes claims, and manages payments directly with your insurance company, so you can focus on your sessions, not the paperwork.

Out-of-Network (OON) Benefits

If your insurance plan is not listed above, you may still be eligible for partial reimbursement by using your out-of-network benefits.

Here’s how it works:

  • You pay the private pay rate at the time of service.
  • Upon request, you’ll receive a superbill (an itemized receipt with all required insurance codes).
  • You submit the superbill to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement based on your plan’s OON policy.

It’s recommended that you call your insurance provider directly to ask:

  • “Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage for telehealth?”
  • “What percentage of my session fee will be reimbursed?”
  • “Where do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?”

Private Pay & Sliding Scale

Private pay sessions are available for those not using insurance.

Standard session: $100

Sliding scale: Offered through Open Path Collective for qualifying members, typically $40–$70 per session.
(Open Path requires a one-time $65 lifetime membership fee paid directly to the organization.)

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged your full session fee.
Your full session fee is based on your agreed-upon rate (insurance, private pay, or Open Path).
