Meet Your Therapist

Real Talk Therapy Services was founded in 2025 by Nichole Esparza, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) in New Mexico and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. After years of serving in community health clinics, Nichole established Real Talk to offer more personalized, stigma-free mental health care rooted in authenticity and connection.

Nichole is a U.S. Army Veteran who served six years in the United Stares Army. She deployed to Iraq with the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade and carries the strength, discipline, and resilience of that experience into her therapeutic work. Her passion for mental health began while working as a Medical Support Assistant at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she witnessed firsthand the long wait times veterans faced in accessing mental health care. This inspired her mission to create a practice where people feel truly seen, supported, and heard without delay or stigma.

Outside of her professional life, Nichole is a devoted wife and mother of five. She thrives in nature, loves traveling and reading, and wholeheartedly believes in the power of dancing it all out. Her warm, grounded presence sets the tone for a safe, judgment-free space where healing can begin.

Nichole believes that each person is the expert of their own life. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and client-centered, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Whether you’re facing anxiety, life transitions, relationship struggles, or trauma, Nichole is here to support you in discovering and becoming the best version of yourself.

At Real Talk Therapy Services, we believe it’s time to stop tiptoeing around mental health and start having real conversations that lead to real healing.
